From the Isle of Wight to Asia and around the world, each chapter has shaped who I am today.
Grew up on the Isle of Wight and was inspired in business while working for my dad's bicycle shop from a young age. In my early twenties I started a summer language school hosting European students who came to the island to learn English.
From riding a motorbike around Scandinavia at 17, to driving a camper van around Europe at 18 and working on cruise ships at 21, life was always an adventure.
Started my flying career at 27 and was promoted to Purser two years later. I later moved to part time, working one month on and one month off — the arrangement that enabled me to live and commute from Thailand from 1997.
Started a part-time property management and development company on Koh Samui and became involved in many substantial projects. The business continued until I moved to Bangkok in 2007.
Managed the first, and very popular, Spanish tapas bar in Bangkok. I oversaw construction and opening of the second venue and later became General Manager for the company.
In 2011 I opened my own restaurant in Hua Hin and ran it for 15 years. Alongside hospitality I restarted property management and development, overseeing refurbishments, sales and management of a variety of properties.
New projects, new opportunities and the next chapter. The complete experience has been memorable and thoroughly enjoyable — and I'm not finished yet.
